Arjan Vliegenthart (1978) studied political science and history at the Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam) and the Freie Universität (Berlin). He holds an MA in Political Science. His thesis dealt with international organizations and their influence on the transformation process in Central and Eastern Europe. Arjan Vliegenthart has been junior lecturer at the department of political science of the VU since 2003.

Research Interests
Arjan Vliegenthart is foremost interested in the role of political structures and agents in the international economy. Within the ARCCGR he will focus on the political dimension of the developments in corporate governance regulation in Central and Eastern Europe, i.e. the former Visegrád group.
